Hardeep Wreck Trips: Planning a Guided Visit

Ask the right questions before joining a Hardeep trip, especially about current conditions and the dive plan.

Check whether the trip is available

Hardeep is a wreck-diving destination near the Samaesan area. This is not a promise that it is part of the regular Pattaya itinerary. Contact the team about current arrangements and send your qualification and recent experience before planning travel around the site.

Distinguish exterior diving from penetration

A guided recreational wreck visit does not automatically include entering the wreck. Overhead environments require suitable training and equipment and a specific plan. Follow the briefing and keep within the agreed scope of the dive.

Ask about the whole day

Check the meeting point, transfers and expected timetable for the particular trip. Do not apply the regular Bali Hai daytime schedule to every destination. If your goal is structured wreck training, ask about the Wreck Diver course instead of assuming a single visit provides that training.

A Hardeep visit is a specialist itinerary discussion

The Hardeep is a recognised wreck interest in the wider Pattaya diving area, but it should not be assumed to be a fixed stop on a regular island day. Ask about current departures, meeting arrangements and the experience needed for the proposed plan. The team assesses suitability before confirming how a visit can be organised.

Send your certification, recent dives and any previous wreck experience. Explain whether you want an external guided tour, photographs or a training programme. Those goals can require different preparation, and a requested site is not enough information to decide the right route.

Conditions, the route and your current competence all affect the visit. If you have not dived recently, discuss familiarisation before making the wreck the centre of your holiday. A historic site is still a live diving environment that needs a current briefing.

Respect the structure, the group and the history

Observe the wreck without removing objects or disturbing marine life. Keep awareness of lines, sharp edges and sediment, and maintain the agreed buddy and group arrangements. An object that looks interesting is not a reason to leave the route or handle part of the site.

Entering a wreck creates an overhead environment with considerations beyond an external tour. Do not follow another diver inside without the appropriate training, equipment and plan. If developing those skills is your aim, discuss the Wreck Diver course rather than expect a guided sightseeing trip to provide unrestricted access.

Bring the practical information needed for the day: equipment requirements, the correct meeting point and contact details for any pickup. Read the current service page for the booking price, and contact the team to clarify the actual Hardeep itinerary before paying for a destination-dependent plan.

Plan your next step

Read the relevant trip or course page for the current price, inclusions and booking arrangements. Contact the Copperband team with your experience and preferred dates before deciding on training or a specialist trip.

A common question

Is Hardeep automatically part of a regular Pattaya day?

No. Ask about current suitable departures and the plan. The site requires its own itinerary and experience discussion; an article featuring the wreck is not confirmation that every trip visits it.

Frequently asked questions

How deep is the Hardeep (S.S. Suddhadib) wreck?

The Hardeep, formerly S.S. Suddhadib and sometimes searched as Suddhadip, lies on its side at about 30 metres in the Samae San area. PADI lists this as an advanced-level wreck. This is the approximate site depth, not a depth every diver should reach; the actual plan must suit your qualification, experience and conditions. Source: PADI’s Pattaya wreck guide.

Is Hardeep the same wreck as HTMS Khram or HTMS Kutt?

No. Hardeep is a separate wreck in the Samae San area. HTMS Khram and HTMS Kutt are different Pattaya wrecks. Ask which site is planned and where to meet before booking a destination-specific trip.
