A personal approach to diving
Copperband Scuba Academy offers beginner scuba experiences, PADI courses and guided diving trips from Pattaya. We help you choose an experience that matches your confidence, qualification and travel plans.
From your first equipment briefing to your next training course, the aim is a relaxed, well-organised day with clear instruction.
Dive from Pattaya
Our regular trips explore the Pattaya Near and Far Islands, with reef and wreck sites selected for conditions and diver experience. Other destinations can be discussed for suitable trips.
The typical day includes local hotel collection, a meeting at Bali Hai Pier around 08:30 and return around 16:00–16:30. Your final arrangements are provided for your booking.
Our new home at Dragon House
Visit us at Dragon House, 333/107 Paniad Chang Road, Moo 9, Pattaya. Our home brings together the dive academy, private accommodation and a ground-floor coffee shop.

Our boat and our Pattaya base
Copperband 1 is the boat used for our diving trips. The academy is based at Dragon House, where visitors can meet the team, arrange equipment and add an apartment stay. Regular boat trips meet at Bali Hai Pier. Your booking arrangements explain where to meet and the pickup details for your day.
What we organise, and why the details matter
Copperband Scuba Academy brings together guided diving, introductory experiences and PADI training from a Pattaya base. We use Copperband 1 for our boat trips and Dragon House for the academy, accommodation and ground-floor coffee shop. That gives guests a place to discuss the programme, prepare for a trip and plan a stay around the diving they want to do.
Our approach begins with choosing a suitable experience. A first-time diver needs an introduction, an Open Water student needs a learning plan, and a certified diver needs a trip compatible with qualifications and recent experience. Those are different objectives even when guests share the same boat day.
The most useful information you can give us is specific: when you last dived, what you found comfortable or difficult, which course you have completed and what you want from the visit. We use that conversation to clarify arrangements instead of assuming every guest wants the same depth, number of dives or itinerary.
Local diving with clear expectations
The nearby island area includes Koh Larn, Koh Sak and Koh Krok, with Far Island and wreck possibilities on suitable trips. Weather, water movement and participant experience influence the choice. We describe those possibilities without promising that a particular sighting or wreck will happen on every departure.
We encourage divers to ask about the briefing, equipment and buddy arrangements, and to speak up if anything is unclear. Responsible diving also means controlling buoyancy, being aware of fins and leaving marine life and wreck objects undisturbed. Training can help develop those habits beyond what is possible during one sightseeing dive.
You can visit the academy at Dragon House on Paniad Chang Road, but regular boat trips depart from Bali Hai Pier. Follow the collection or meeting instructions for your own booking. Choose your experience and dates, then continue to the full booking form for optional accommodation and secure payment. Diving deposits are THB 900 per person. Available room stays are THB 850 per night and paid in full.
The remaining diving balance is paid separately. If accommodation is unavailable, you can still book diving.
