Pattaya diving and booking questions
Can I try diving without a certification?
Yes. Choose Try Diving and our instructor will introduce you to the skills and equipment. Medical suitability must be checked before participating.
Can I take a PADI Open Water course while staying in Pattaya?
Yes. Copperband offers a PADI Open Water course in Pattaya with knowledge development, pool practice and four training dives. Our usual programme takes three days, with completion depending on meeting the course requirements. Read the Open Water course guide for entry requirements and preparation. Dragon House accommodation is optional and booked with separate stay dates.
Can certified divers join a wreck diving trip from Pattaya?
Yes. Ask Copperband about guided wreck opportunities when booking your certified dive trip. The available site depends on weather, sea conditions, your qualification and recent experience. A trip booking does not guarantee a specific wreck, and a guided wreck visit does not automatically include entry inside the wreck.
What should I bring?
Bring swimwear, sunscreen and any personal essentials. Certified divers should also bring certification details and their logbook if available.
How much is the diving deposit?
The booking deposit is THB 900 for each person diving. The remaining trip or course balance is payable according to your booking confirmation.
Can I stay at Dragon House?
Yes. Add optional accommodation with separate check-in and check-out dates. Available stays are paid in full online. If no room is available, you can still book diving.
Plan your dive. Add a stay if you like.
Choose your diving experience and a dive date, or leave the dive date flexible during your stay. Add separate check-in and check-out dates for optional Dragon House accommodation. Pay your THB 900 deposit per diver and any available room nights securely online to complete your booking. If rooms are unavailable, your diving booking can still proceed.

Scuba diving in Pattaya, from your first dive to further training
Start with a supervised introduction or learn to dive
If you have never been certified, Try Diving gives you an instructor-led introduction to scuba. Choose one scuba dive with snorkelling or two introductory dives. A Try Dive lets you experience the activity; it does not award the qualification required for certified fun dives.
The PADI Open Water course provides a fuller learning progression: knowledge development, pool practice and four open water training dives. Our usual three-day programme develops equipment understanding, buoyancy, planning and buddy skills, with certification after successful completion of the requirements.
Tell us your travel dates and confidence in the water so we can help you choose the appropriate route. If you are booking for a child or have questions about course participation, discuss them with the team before practical training.
Build experience on guided reef and wreck trips
Already certified? Our Pattaya fun dives offer two or three guided dives, with multi-day packages for a longer holiday. Send your qualification and last-dive date so the plan reflects your recent experience rather than only the name on your certification card.
The nearby island area includes Koh Larn, Koh Sak and Koh Krok, with Far Island and wreck opportunities on suitable trips. The actual route depends on conditions and participant suitability; a named wreck or marine-life sighting is not guaranteed by selecting a date.
For a specific skill, compare Advanced Open Water, buoyancy, nitrox, wreck and other training options. A course has its own learning and assessment, while a fun-diving trip follows a guided recreational plan.
Plan your diving and accommodation independently
Choose your diving experience and first preferred date, then add a Dragon House stay only if you want one. Check-in and check-out dates can be different from diving dates: one Try Dive day can fit within seven nights, and a course can have additional room nights around it. Flexible diving during your stay lets you arrange the final date with the team.
The website takes a THB 900 diving deposit per person against the selected experience. Available room stays cost THB 850 per room per night, with a two-night minimum, and are paid in full. Seven nights cost THB 5,950; with one diving deposit, the checkout total is THB 6,850. The remaining diving balance is payable separately.
If accommodation is unavailable, you can still book diving without a room charge and stay elsewhere. For a multi-day package or course, put the full programme and additional requested dates in the notes so the complete schedule can be arranged.
Read our Pattaya diving guides for preparation and training topics, or contact the team with your experience and travel plans.
