Pattaya Diving FAQs and Booking Information
Practical answers to help you choose a trip, prepare for the boat day and understand your Copperband booking.
Plan your divingDo I need a certification?
You need an appropriate diving qualification for certified fun dives. If you have never been certified, choose Try Diving for a supervised introduction, or the PADI Open Water course if you want to work towards a qualification. A Try Dive does not award an Open Water certification.
Tell us your confidence in the water and any participation questions before practical training so the team can explain the next steps.
What does the boat day include?
Standard diving trips include equipment, instructor or guide support, Pattaya or Jomtien pickup, breakfast and coffee, Thai lunch and towels. We confirm collection or meeting arrangements before your departure. The boat usually leaves around 09:00 and returns around 16:00–16:30.
Bring swimwear, sun protection and personal essentials. Certified divers should send certification details and their last-dive date, and bring their logbook if available.
Can I choose a particular wreck or island?
You can request a site when enquiring. The route depends on weather, sea conditions, boat planning and diver suitability, so a date booking does not guarantee a named island or wreck. Guided wreck visits do not automatically include penetration.
Tell us if the requested site is the main reason for your booking so we can discuss the actual planned departure and alternatives.
How do online payments work?
The standard website diving deposit is THB 900 per person. It is a payment towards the selected diving experience, not the full trip or course price. The remaining balance follows your booking confirmation.
Available Dragon House stays are paid in full online, with a two-night minimum. Diving dates and accommodation dates can differ. If rooms are unavailable, you can still book diving without adding a room charge.
What if I need to change my plans?
Contact Copperband promptly with your booking reference and the requested change. The applicable terms depend on your confirmation and, for an agent booking, the platform used. Do not assume a date change or refund has been agreed until you have confirmation.
For a private boat, a language request or a more complex course plan, contact us directly before paying so the specific arrangement can be confirmed.
