Molecular Sieve 13X for Scuba Air Compressors
Molecular Sieve 13X is a high-performance filtration media designed to adsorb moisture and selected contaminants from compressed air. It is suitable for use in breathing air compressor filtration systems, including high-pressure compressors used for filling scuba diving cylinders.
Its highly porous structure provides excellent adsorption capacity, helping remove water vapor and impurities from compressed breathing air.
Breathing Air Compressor Filtration
Molecular sieve is commonly used as part of a multi-stage compressor purification system. 13X Molecular Sieve has a strong affinity for water and can also adsorb molecules such as carbon dioxide (COâ‚‚) and hydrogen sulfide (Hâ‚‚S).
For scuba compressor applications, molecular sieve is typically used together with other filtration media according to the compressor and filter manufacturer’s specifications.

Storage & Handling
Molecular sieve begins adsorbing moisture as soon as it is exposed to ambient air. Always keep the product tightly sealed and stored in a completely dry environment when not in use.
Minimize exposure to the atmosphere when filling or servicing compressor filter cartridges, as absorbed atmospheric moisture will reduce the remaining adsorption capacity of the molecular sieve.
Always follow the compressor and purification system manufacturer’s specifications when selecting and replacing filtration media.
