The second session gives you another chance to enjoy breathing underwater and practise the skills you learned earlier.

Two introductory dives, with time to become more familiar
Your first scuba dive involves unfamiliar equipment, signals and sensations. A two-dive Try Scuba day in Pattaya gives you another supervised opportunity to apply what you have just experienced. The second dive is not a reason to skip the initial briefing or skills practice; it is a chance to build familiarity within the instructor’s plan.
Before entering the water, the instructor introduces the relevant equipment and basic communication. You practise the essential skills for the activity in the arranged setting, then explore a suitable site under supervision. If something feels uncomfortable, communicate it. A first experience is more useful when you understand what is happening than when you feel pressured to continue.
No previous scuba certificate is needed for this introductory option, but programme eligibility and medical participation requirements apply. Ask us about age requirements when booking a child, and complete the requested paperwork honestly. A Try Dive is an experience, not the same training or certification as Open Water.
What a beginner should know before the boat day
Choose the two-dive option if you want more time underwater within one introductory day. Choose the scuba-and-snorkelling option if surface exploration is part of your preference. If your goal is to dive on later holidays as a certified diver, the PADI Open Water course provides the fuller learning route.
The exact site is chosen to suit the experience and conditions. Pattaya’s island diving provides different possible environments, but visibility, water movement and marine-life sightings vary. Photos show previous underwater experiences; they are not a promise of a particular encounter on your chosen date.
The two-scuba-dive Try Dive costs THB 3,900 per person. Book your preferred date and pay the THB 900 diving deposit online, with the remaining diving balance payable separately. You can add a Dragon House stay for different dates, including a full week around a single dive day.
