Build your specialist diving skills

Explore the reef after dark while learning torch use, navigation and night-dive procedures.

Train with an instructor at suitable Pattaya dive sites. Your training plan depends on your existing qualification, experience and conditions.

What you will practise

  • Night-dive planning and equipment checks
  • Torch handling and communication
  • Navigation and buddy contact after dark
  • Observing marine life without disturbing it

Arrange your training

Send your certification and recent diving history before starting. Our team will check course eligibility and explain the timetable and equipment arrangements.

What changes when you dive after dark

Night diving changes the way you observe and communicate. Your light shows a narrower part of the environment, familiar landmarks are less obvious and the group needs a clear plan for staying together. The Night Diver course in Pattaya introduces those differences through briefing, equipment preparation and instructor-led practice.

Training addresses dive-light use, signals, navigation and the organisation of entries and exits in reduced light. You learn why a lighting plan and backup arrangements matter, and how the buddy team agrees communication before the dive. These are skills to practise with an instructor, not techniques to improvise from an article.

The interest is often in seeing a familiar environment differently. Marine-life behaviour and what you notice can change after sunset, but sightings are never guaranteed. The training objective is an organised night dive, rather than a promise of a particular animal or photographic opportunity.

Choose training or a guided night trip

A guided night dive and a Night Diver specialty serve different purposes. A trip lets appropriately qualified divers join an agreed itinerary; a course includes knowledge, practical training and assessment. Tell us whether you want to gain the specialty or use an existing qualification so we can recommend the correct booking.

Night training requires suitable scheduling, conditions and site arrangements. It should not be assumed to fit within the regular daytime boat timetable. Contact Copperband about the current programme before arranging evening transport or paying for a specific itinerary.

The Night Diving course price shown here is THB 13,950. Send your certification, last-dive date and previous night-diving experience before training. If buoyancy or navigation still takes most of your attention, practising those foundations first can make the night course more productive.
