Build your specialist diving skills

Learn to analyse enriched air, manage oxygen exposure and plan dives using a nitrox-compatible computer.

Train with an instructor at suitable Pattaya dive sites. Your training plan depends on your existing qualification, experience and conditions.

What you will practise

  • Analysing a cylinder and recording its oxygen content
  • Understanding oxygen limits and maximum operating depth
  • Setting a dive computer for enriched air
  • Planning repetitive dives

Course format and optional dive

The current listing is a half-day, theory-based course. PADI eLearning, an instructor-led review and certification are included.

An optional nitrox scuba dive is listed at an additional THB 2,000. Diving is not required for this specialty.

What enriched air training teaches you

Enriched Air Nitrox is breathing gas with a higher oxygen proportion than ordinary air. The PADI Enriched Air course focuses on understanding the gas you are using, its limitations and the planning decisions it requires. It is particularly relevant to divers who want to understand repetitive recreational diving, but it should not be treated as permission to ignore normal dive planning.

Course topics include checking the oxygen content of a cylinder, recording the analysis and setting appropriate planning information. Your instructor explains how oxygen exposure and depth limits affect the dive. The practical goal is to know what is in your cylinder and understand the plan before entering the water.

Nitrox does not automatically make a dive deeper, longer or risk-free. The gas mix, your equipment, your training and the dive plan all matter. This page explains the purpose of the specialty; the course provides the instruction and assessment needed to use it responsibly.

Plan the course separately from boat gas supply

PADI offers Enriched Air course routes that do not require training dives. Ask which knowledge and practical sessions Copperband will arrange for your booking and whether any boat diving is part of the selected programme. Do not assume that buying the specialty automatically changes every cylinder supplied on later trips.

If you want to use nitrox on a particular Pattaya dive day, discuss cylinder availability, qualification checks and any additional arrangements beforehand. Availability of a gas supply is a separate operational question from eligibility for the course.

The advertised Enriched Air Nitrox course price is THB 9,995. Tell us your existing qualification and travel dates, and ask how the study and practical assessment will fit your schedule. It can complement a buoyancy or continuing-education plan without requiring every subject to be taught on the same day.

Plan your visit

Choose your experience and dates, then continue to the full booking form for optional accommodation and secure payment. Diving deposits are THB 900 per person. Available room stays are THB 850 per night and paid in full.

The remaining diving balance is paid separately. If accommodation is unavailable, you can still book diving.
