Description

Oceanic Alpha 8 Octopus – Professional Performance at an Entry-Level Price

The Oceanic Alpha 8 Octopus proves that reliable breathing performance doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. Designed for divers who want safety, dependability, and value, the Alpha 8 Octo delivers smooth, consistent airflow in a compact and durable backup regulator. It’s one of the best price-to-performance octopus regulators in its class, trusted by recreational divers, dive schools, and rental operations worldwide.

At the heart of the Alpha 8 Octopus is an efficient demand valve with a balancing system, providing easy, natural breathing when you need it most. With a low minimum cracking effort, inhalation feels light and controlled—helping reduce stress during air-sharing or emergency situations. Designed to perform to U.S. Navy Class A standards at 198 feet, the Alpha 8 Octo delivers dependable airflow at all recreational depths.

The Alpha 8 Octopus is built with a clean, refined internal design, making it both rugged and inexpensive to maintain. Fewer complex components mean long-term reliability and lower service costs—perfect for frequent divers and dive operations alike. Its compact size and tough construction ensure it holds up to repeated use in real-world diving conditions.

Comfort is critical in a backup regulator. The Alpha 8 Octopus features a patented orthodontic mouthpiece, shaped to match the natural overbite of the jaw and reduce fatigue during extended breathing. An integrated purge button allows quick and easy clearing with controlled airflow, even under pressure. Weighing just 6 ounces (without hose) and measuring 2.9 inches in front profile, it stays lightweight and streamlined in the water.

The Alpha 8 Octopus is Nitrox compatible up to 40%, making it suitable for enriched air diving without special preparation. Its performance, reliability, and affordability make it an excellent choice as a primary backup regulator for recreational diving setups.

Oceanic backs the Alpha 8 Octopus with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, a Limited Lifetime Service Agreement, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, ensuring peace of mind and long-term value.
