Your diving pathway

Follow a training pathway from your first scuba course towards professional Divemaster skills.

Each stage builds on the previous qualification. Progress depends on meeting the training requirements and developing the experience needed for the next level.

Courses in the pathway

  • Open Water Diver
  • Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Rescue Diver
  • Divemaster

Arrange your schedule

Tell us your current qualification and how long you can stay in Pattaya. We will plan the training stages, discuss any prerequisite first aid or logged-dive requirements and explain the package inclusions.

Choose your preferred start date when booking. Add optional accommodation with its own check-in and check-out dates; room availability will not prevent you booking diving.

Build your Divemaster pathway in stages

The Open Water to Divemaster package in Pattaya is a progression, not a single course with several cards awarded at once. The advertised package price is THB 85,000. Your plan follows Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue, required first aid and professional Divemaster training, with the relevant learning and performance requirements completed at each stage.

At the beginning, the priority is becoming comfortable with equipment, basic skills and the buddy system. Later training introduces further planning, awareness and responsibilities. These stages make more sense when you have time to use what you learned, receive feedback and identify what needs practice before the next course.

Tell us whether you are starting with no certification or have already completed part of the route. Your current qualification, available time and recent experience affect the programme that is appropriate. Do not assume that a pre-existing course will automatically change the published package price; ask for the correct route and inclusions for your circumstances.

Plan training time, requirements and separate accommodation

Before paying for a pathway, discuss the sequence, expected study time, practical days and any additional experience-building with Copperband. Certification at each stage is earned by meeting the requirements. Weather, student progress and the boat schedule can affect the practical timetable, so a fixed travel departure should be discussed early.

Ask which learning materials, practical activities and certification costs are included in the selected package. Any eligibility documentation and first-aid requirements must be checked before the stage that requires them. For a professional route, discuss logged dives and separate professional fees rather than assuming earlier courses alone satisfy entry requirements.

Dragon House can be booked for independent check-in and check-out dates, allowing a longer stay around training. You can also use another hotel. The website takes THB 900 per diver as a diving deposit, with the course-package balance payable separately; an available selected room stay is paid in full.

A professional pathway requires time for real development

Working towards Divemaster involves learning to support other divers, communicate a briefing and assist around training as well as completing earlier certifications. Experience-building between stages is important because professional judgement cannot be demonstrated only by collecting course completion cards.

The Divemaster stage has minimum age, logged-dive, first-aid and medical requirements. Discuss how the pathway will meet those requirements and how your progress will be assessed. Professional membership, insurance and any employment arrangements should be considered separately; the package does not promise a paid job.

Plan your visit
