What makes a Far Island day different?

The Far Islands involve travelling further offshore than the nearby Koh Larn, Koh Sak and Koh Krok area. That changes the boat planning as well as the available reef options. It can be an appealing choice for certified divers who want variety during a longer Pattaya stay.

Distance is only one part of a dive day. Weather, the surface crossing and conditions at the destination must all work with the diver group. We do not promise better visibility simply because an island is further away.

Koh Man Wichai and Koh Klung Badan

Koh Man Wichai, also written Koh Manwichai, and Koh Klung Badan are among the destinations Copperband considers for suitable Far Island trips. An offshore island can have more than one practical diving area, so the chosen route depends on what is appropriate on the day.

Tell us if either island is a priority. We can discuss the planned trips and possible alternatives, rather than let you book under the assumption that every departure reaches the same place.

Experience and trip preparation

Send your qualification, last-dive date and the kind of diving you have done recently. Explain any concern about longer boat journeys or conditions. The team will consider the actual dive plan, rather than use the words “Far Islands” as a universal description of difficulty.

Bring your certification details and normal boat-day essentials. If you are travelling with snorkellers or first-time divers, let us know before the itinerary is arranged.

Combine several Pattaya diving days

A longer visit gives more room to combine Near Island reefs, offshore opportunities and an appropriate wreck trip. Multi-day packages can make that easier to plan, although named sites and particular marine-life sightings remain dependent on the actual departures and conditions.

Dragon House accommodation is optional and uses separate stay dates. Ask us to plan the diving days around your travel schedule, with time to settle in before your first morning departure.
