Pattaya Diving Conditions and When to Visit
Plan for the conditions that matter on a boat-diving day, rather than relying on a single visibility number or a promise of perfect weather.
Plan your divingA date does not tell the whole story
Conditions can vary between islands and between days. Wind, surface conditions and visibility influence the itinerary, while your qualification and recent experience influence the appropriate dive plan. A photograph or report from another visit cannot guarantee what you will encounter.
Tell us your travel window and the activity you want, then ask about the planned departures. If one particular site matters to you, discuss that before booking.
Near Islands and further offshore
The nearby Koh Larn, Koh Sak and Koh Krok area gives the team several reef options to consider. Far Island trips involve a longer offshore journey, which needs to work with the forecast and the people aboard. Further offshore does not always mean calmer water or better visibility.
Wreck opportunities add their own planning considerations. The team considers the actual dive, rather than assuming that every participant on a boat should visit the same wreck.
Planning a flexible visit
If diving is a main reason for your holiday, allowing several possible days can help with scheduling. A multi-day stay gives more room to arrange courses, reef trips and suitable wreck opportunities than a single fixed date.
Contact us close to your trip to confirm practical meeting arrangements and the planned route. Keep enough flexibility in onward transport for the actual return time.
Prepare for the day you have booked
Bring normal boat-day essentials, including swimwear, sun protection and any personal items you need at sea. Send your certification and last-dive date if you are qualified. Explain concerns about boat journeys or returning after a long break before the itinerary is confirmed.
The usual boat departure is around 09:00, returning around 16:00–16:30. Any weather-related change follows the operating decision and your booking confirmation. Contact the team about changes rather than assuming a general website guide establishes a refund policy for your booking.
