Scuba Diving from Bangkok: Plan a Pattaya Trip

Arrive ready for the boat day

Pattaya provides a coastal base for visitors travelling from Bangkok who want a diving day or course. Copperband’s normal boat departure is around 09:00, so your road journey needs to work with the confirmed meeting arrangements. Traffic and your starting location can change the travel time substantially.

Staying in Pattaya the night before is often easier to organise than relying on an early same-day journey. Do not book transport around an assumed pickup time: contact us first and confirm where and when to meet.

Choose your diving experience

If you are not certified, choose a supervised Try Diving introduction or a PADI Open Water course. The usual Open Water programme involves several days and cannot be treated as a single boat-day qualification.

Certified divers can compare two- and three-dive trips or multi-day packages. Send your qualification and last-dive date so the route reflects your actual recent experience. Mention any specific reef or wreck request when enquiring.

Travel and pickup are separate arrangements

Standard diving trips include Pattaya or Jomtien pickup. That is not a promise of collection from Bangkok. Arrange your journey to Pattaya separately unless a different transport arrangement is explicitly agreed with the team.

The boat usually returns around 16:00–16:30, but allow flexibility for conditions and the day’s operation. Leave a sensible margin before a onward appointment or a fixed transport departure.

Add a place to stay

Dragon House offers private apartments with a kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi and balcony, with the coffee shop on the ground floor. Accommodation is optional and uses separate check-in and check-out dates.
