Build your specialist diving skills

Build the planning and control needed to explore Pattaya’s wreck dive sites responsibly.

Train with an instructor at suitable Pattaya dive sites. Your training plan depends on your existing qualification, experience and conditions.

What you will practise

  • Wreck assessment and dive planning
  • Navigation and identifying hazards
  • Buoyancy control around wreck structures
  • Specialist equipment and techniques appropriate to the course

Arrange your training

Send your certification and recent diving history before starting. Our team will check course eligibility and explain the timetable and equipment arrangements.

Wreck diving combines observation, awareness and planning

Pattaya wreck diving interests divers because a vessel creates a different underwater landscape from a reef. Structure, openings, lines and sediment all affect how a dive should be planned. The PADI Wreck Diver course helps you recognise those features and approach a wreck as a diving environment, rather than simply an object to swim through.

Course learning introduces wreck assessment, navigation and the practical equipment and procedures relevant to the programme. Your instructor explains potential hazards such as sharp edges, entanglement and reduced visibility, then supervises appropriate exercises. Maintaining distance from the structure and controlling your position are important foundations.

An external wreck tour and entering an overhead space are very different activities. Do not enter a wreck merely because an opening looks accessible or someone else does so. Any penetration exercise depends on the applicable training scope, equipment, conditions and instructor-led plan; purchasing a course is not unrestricted permission to explore interiors.

Choosing a suitable Pattaya wreck experience

Tell us which wreck interests you and what you have already dived. A familiar shallow site, a deeper wreck and a site with current can demand different preparation. The day’s itinerary must be compatible with qualifications, recent experience and conditions, so a course booking does not guarantee one named wreck.

If you are newly certified or have been out of the water for some time, a reef familiarisation dive may be a useful first step. Advanced Open Water can introduce a wreck-related adventure where available, while the full specialty gives further focused training. We can help you compare the routes based on your goal.

The PADI Wreck Diver course is THB 11,495. Bring your certification details and explain whether you want better external-wreck awareness, photography opportunities or structured specialty training. Clear expectations before the trip help the instructor organise a suitable programme.

Plan your visit

Questions about this experience

Will I enter a wreck on a normal fun dive?

Wreck entry requires appropriate training, equipment and an agreed dive plan. A recreational visit around the outside of a wreck is different from penetration training.

How do I plan Wreck Diver training?

Send your qualification and recent diving history. The instructor checks eligibility, discusses the course scope and chooses suitable sites and conditions.
