Wetsuit and Rash Guard Sizing Guide

Exposure protection should suit the water conditions, dive duration and your own tolerance to cold. Compare the garment’s measurements and intended use before choosing a size.

Wetsuit or rash guard?

A wetsuit provides thermal insulation, with performance affected by thickness, fit and construction. A rash guard provides coverage but should not be assumed to give the same warmth as a wetsuit. Check the stated UPF rating of the exact garment if sun protection is a priority.

Measure for the exact model

Compare your chest, waist, hip and height measurements with the manufacturer’s chart. Different cuts and brands fit differently. The garment should be comfortable in a diving position, without restricting breathing or creating excessive loose areas.

Hoods, boots and layering

Check whether a hood or vest is intended to be worn alone or layered. Match boots to the fins you plan to use. Adding layers changes fit and buoyancy, so assess the complete configuration rather than each item in isolation.

Before ordering

  • Select the size and cut shown in the variation.
  • Read the material, thickness and coverage stated for that model.
  • Confirm that the listing is for one garment or a complete set.
  • Ask for sizing help rather than guessing between two sizes.

Care and storage

Rinse after use and dry away from strong direct heat. Follow the manufacturer’s washing instructions and avoid storing damp garments folded tightly for long periods.
