Hollis 150LX Octopus – High-Performance Alternate Regulator
The Hollis 150LX Octopus brings the breathing performance and robust construction of the LX regulator series to an alternate second stage. Its pneumatically balanced chrome-plated brass valve is designed to provide smooth, easy breathing when the regulator is needed.
Unlike a basic backup second stage, the 150LX Octopus incorporates several features found on Hollis’s primary regulators, making it a strong choice for divers who want a high-quality alternate air source rather than simply the most basic octopus available.
Reversible Hose Configuration
One of the most useful features of the 150LX is its reversible demand valve.
The second stage can be converted from a right-hand to a left-hand hose configuration, providing additional flexibility when configuring your regulator setup.
This can be particularly useful for divers who want greater flexibility in hose routing and equipment configuration.
Dive / Pre-Dive Venturi Control
The 150LX Octopus includes an adjustable Dive/Pre-Dive Venturi switch with a large rubberised lever designed to be easy to locate and operate.
The Pre-Dive setting helps reduce the tendency for the second stage to free-flow when it isn’t being breathed from, while the Dive position provides the intended breathing assistance during use.
Comfortable Breathing & Bubble Management
The ergonomic exhaust design channels exhaled bubbles away from the diver’s field of view while reducing exhaust effort.
Hollis also equips the regulator with its orthodontic mouthpiece with dual-colour tabs and a flexible MiFlex braided hose.
