BARE Exowear is powered by OMNIRED™ Infrared Technology, a heat-retention fabric technology designed to help you stay warmer without adding bulk. The fabric incorporates 13 thermo-reactive minerals that convert your natural body heat into infrared energy and reflect it back toward your body.

For the Exowear Hood, this technology helps retain warmth around the head, an area where divers can quickly lose body heat during longer dives, surface intervals, or windy conditions. The result is improved thermal comfort while keeping the hood lightweight, breathable, and easy to wear.

Independent laboratory testing has shown that Exowear can slow thermal loss by up to 36% at 1 ATM of pressure, giving you added confidence during cooler water dives, longer sessions, and outdoor watersport activities.

Exowear’s innovative 3-Layer Fabric Technology combines three performance layers to protect you from wind, water, and changing weather conditions while maintaining comfort throughout your adventure.

Outer Layer: A UV-resistant outer shell with a durable water-repellent finish helps repel water, absorb less moisture, and dry faster after use.

Windproof Membrane: A highly breathable membrane blocks cold wind while allowing excess heat and moisture to escape, helping regulate body temperature during active watersports.

Inner Fleece: The hydrophobic fleece lining is quick drying, moisture wicking, and anti-microbial, helping keep the hood fresh, comfortable, and ready for your next adventure.

Freedom of movement and comfort are essential when wearing a hood. Unlike conventional 2-Way Stretch fabrics that only stretch in one direction, BARE’s 4-Way Stretch Technology stretches both vertically and horizontally to provide greater flexibility, elasticity, and breathability.

Combined with an ergonomic 3D pattern and flat seam stitching, the Exowear Hood fits comfortably around the head and face without feeling stiff or restrictive, making it easier to move, breathe, and stay focused in the water.

The BARE Exowear Hood Unisex is made for divers and watersports enthusiasts who want extra head warmth without the bulk of a thick neoprene hood. It is ideal for cooler dives, windy boat rides, long surface intervals, and active watersports where lightweight thermal protection makes a big difference.

Wear it on its own for added warmth or pair it with other Exowear garments to build a flexible exposure protection system for changing water temperatures and outdoor conditions.

Please refer to the size chart below to help you choose the correct size. For the best thermal performance and comfort, we recommend selecting a close-fitting size that creates a secure seal without feeling too tight.

The BARE Exowear Hood is designed to work as part of BARE’s modular Exowear system. Pair it with Exowear jackets, tops, pants, gloves, or socks to create lightweight, layerable thermal protection for different dive conditions, water temperatures, and watersport adventures.
